Guy Massey is one of the UK’s most respected recording engineers, mixers, and producers, known for pairing technical skill with a sharp instinct for how a record should feel.

His credits span a wide range of artists, including The Beatles, The Libertines, Manic Street Preachers, Ed Sheeran, The Divine Comedy, Rita Ora, and Bill Fay.

Over more than two decades, he has become a trusted collaborator across genres, always prioritising musicality, clarity, and emotional impact.

He won his second Grammy for mixing “Padam Padam” by Kylie Minogue—a global hit built on a minimal electronic groove and a standout vocal. But for Massey, recognition isn’t the goal: “It feels a little odd winning one because you never set out to do that—but it is special when something really connects with people.”

On the track, produced by Lostboy, his role was to sharpen and focus the sound—keeping the hypnotic production lean whilst never blurring the vocal.

Versatility defines his approach. Massey works across recording, mixing, producing, and mastering, adapting to what each artist needs. In the studio he’s known for creating a relaxed and supportive environment, where easy collaboration is key.

Looking ahead, his goals are simple: make exciting, collaborative records.
